What’s the best digital camera to use at a concert?
mandi_rawr asked:
I know SLR’s and those really expensive cameras are pretty much the best, but I **** the hassle of having one. So, what small digital camera is the best to use? I like shooting videos a lot too, so a camera with good video will be great too. Something with good zoom too. (sorry I am really picky.)

Taking concert shots with a compact camera and no flash will give you dark, grainy, noisy shots, or blurry shots, or, dark, grainy blurry shots (take your pick).
There’s really no way around a DSLR.
HTH.
In point and shoots, your options are limited.
For a good zoom try the Canon A720 IS.
For good low-light performance, try a Fujfilm F50fd.
However, you can’t quite get both in a point and shoot; you’d have to go to an SLR. For a concert, the A720 IS might do okay because it’s image stabilized and if the stage is well-lit. If the spot lights aren’t that strong on the performers, the F50fd will do better, with less noisy images.
nikon coolpix L11 use fireworks setting
no small camera will do
the best besides a SLR is the canon s5 or s3
i recommend CANON SX100, because it has really great options
and its price is 280-300USD
at first it has 10x super optical zoom which is really great to use it at a concert and it has 8MP
and the price is really very affordable – only 240USD
and the second one is canon a650, it has wonderful 12.1MP, and 6x optical zoom. it has original body shape like camcorder which gives you an opportunity to take better pics and videos
Get a Canon S5 IS. It’s like a mini DSLR. Takes good videos too. Noisy at higher ISO speeds only, but, if you’re going to a rock concert, noise shouldn’t be a problem for you(lol).
