How Hollywood Entertained Us With Some Of The Best Movies In 2008

In the year 2008, Americans and people around the world enjoyed a series of splendid new movie releases. It was one of the best years for Hollywood. Movie theaters across the country were packed all summer long with new blockbuster hits that entertained movie goers in every genre.

Americans are fascinated with the entertainment of movies. It is one of the most private means of entertainment. Whether watching in a crowded theater of viewing in the privacy of home, we all seem to find the time to indulge in the fantasy world of Hollywood entertainment.

What is really interesting is that Hollywood released over 500 different movies and films in the year 2009. While many of these titles are totally unbeknown to the average blockbuster movie watcher, they were enjoyed by people that favored special interest films such as those who love watching sequels which are reproductions of English-language films.

When 2008 was rapidly coming to a close, movie critics gathered all around the country to summarize the movies and to present their final verdicts for those movies which were deemed as overwhelming successes or dismal flops. While their verdicts do carry weight within the movie industry, there nothing but mere opinions. We all have our own preference for what truly entertains us.

Perhaps one of the greatest reasons we love watching movies is that they not only entertain us in a personal way, but a well-produced movie has the power to briefly transfer us into a fantasy world, where we can somewhat relate to the story and the personalities of the characters played by the actors and actresses involved. We can all identify with certain movie plots and scenes that nostalgically stimulate our thoughts.

Was 2008 a good year for the movie industry? This is not an easy question to answer. For some it was a horrible year while others enjoyed one dynamic film after another.

With over 500 films released during the year, there is no way to give significance to each and every film. While many movies faded away in the minds of special interest viewers, they are some movies that have made an indelible impression on us.

So what kind of movies did you enjoy in 2008? I am sure you found the time to entertain yourself and the family with movies that made you feel good inside. My personal favorites were as follows: Wanted, Tropic Thunder, Slumdog Millionaire, Burn After Reading, The Visitor, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Gran Torino, WALL-E, Iron Man and The Dark Knight. If you have never seen any of these, I suggest you rent them at your local video store. You will love the entertainment value they bring to your world of movie indulgent.
