Enlightening Reviews Of Some Films
Movie reviews follow this paragraph. You can find a lot of information on movie downloads sites if you do a good search. A good starting point might be “Movie Download Web Sites”, after that try “Home Movie Rental” or “Top 100 Movie Rentals”.
Gun the Man Down: Injured outlaw avows retribution on cohorts who left him in the middle of a stickup gone badly. Cast includes James Arness, Angie Dickinson, Robert Wilkes, and Emile Meyer. (78 minutes, 1956)
The Education of Sonny Carson: A fascinating if overemotional drama of a disobedient black youth in Brooklyn of the ’50s and ’60s. Based on Carson’s autobiography, the film takes on extra meaning with consideration to his notoriety on the N.Y.C scene. Cast includes Ronny Familyton, Don Gordon, Joyce Stroller, and Paul Benjamin. (105 minutes, 1974)
Hog Wild: This film is a silly comedy in reference to humorous bikers who pester adolescents. Unsurprising, low-grade production aids from quality acting, particularly Rosato an incoherently mumbling gang leader called the Bull. Cast includes Ashley Judd, Todd Territory, Bentley Mitchum, Allison Dean, and Dorothy Lyman. Cast includes Michael Biehn, Patti D’Arbanville, .Tony Rosato, Angelo Rizacos, Martin Doyle, and Mati Craven. (80 minutes, 1980)
The Front Page: The third filming of the Hecht-MacArthur play about a crazy and woolly Chicago newspaperman in the 1920s has barely anything new to offer (with the exception of 4-letter words) although it continues to be an entertaining piece of work. Cast includes Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, Carol Burnett, Susan Sarandon, Vincent Gardenia, David Wayne, Allen Garfield, Austin Pendleton, and Charles Dunning. (105 minutes, 1974)
Sense and Sensibility: A lucid, modern-day look at Jane Austin’s novel in reference to 2 recently impoverished siblings one impulsive and flirtatious, the other persistently hindered and made to suppress her sensations of love. Impeccably cast and acted this is a vigorous and moving film dealing with how dissimilar identities handled them in early 19th-century England. Thompson won an Oscar for Best Screenplay Adaptation. Cast includes Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Kate Winslet, Hugh Grant, James Fleet, Harriet Walter, Gemma Jones, Elizabeth Spriggs, Robert Hardy, Greg Prudent, Imelda Staunton, Imogen Stubbs, Hugh Laurie, and Tom Wilkinson. (135 minutes, 1995)
Patton: This milestone in biographies finds Scott vivid as offbeat, radiant General George Patton, whose temper often erupts on demand during WW2. Malden is comparably impressive as General Omar Bradley in this intelligently written, finely wrought biographical war drama. Cast includes George C. Scott, Karl Malden, Stephen Youthful, Michael Hefty, Frank Latimore, James Edwards, Lawrence Dobkin, Michael Bates, and Tim Considine. (169 minutes, 1970)
La Prisonuiere: From the head of Diabolique comes this ambiguous, bewildered study of a female addicted to a photographer of sadomasochism. This film is truly a remarkably piece of art. Cast includes Laurent Terzieff, Bernard Fresson, Elsabeth Wiener, Danny Carrel, Dario Moreno, and Daniel Riviere. (104 minutes, 1959)
The Hills Run Red: A Civil War Western of stolen payrolls. The movie is badly dubbed and loosely performed. Cast includes Thomas Hunter, Henry Silva, Dan Duryea, and Nando Gazzola. (89 minutes, 1966)
B.O.R.N.: Somebody is abducting youngsters from the roads of L.A. to cut up as organ donors. This weird action thriller has too many characters and too much gunfire, yet it has its good parts too. Cast includes Ross Hagen, Hoke Howell, P. J. Sales, William Smith, Russ Tamblyn, Amanda Blake, Clint Howard, and Claire Hagen. (92 minutes, 1989)
This short list is an example of the variety of films you can find online that you can download. Searching “Best Movie Download” or “New Movie Download” will help you find downloading information for movies. Add “Popular Movie Rentals” to the list if the other searches don’t work for you.
