Enjoy The 40th Anniversary of Glastonbury 2010

Glastonbury is the name on everyone’s lips when it comes to where to go and the best festivals to visit. The media constantly show the great times that people have there and the attractions bring people back year after year so that they can have an increasingly exciting time as each year’s festivities begin. Glastonbury 2010 is going to be the best yet with even more people coming from all over the UK and beyond.

Extra celebrations this year for Glastonbury as it is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Something that has been going for that long has got to be good! There are rumours all around the media that the band Pulp will be reuniting especially for this event, giving a live performance in an atmosphere that cannot be beaten anywhere else.

Many excellent bands that are yet to be signed have been discovered at this festival. Be among the first to see them before they take the world by storm, and have the pleasure of telling people that you saw them before all the glitz and glamour took over. Seeing raw talent is an experience that will last you a lifetime.

The popularity of the festival has meant that as soon as the tickets went on sale, within hours they were gone, and people even camped outside the places they were being sold to be among the first to hold this privilege. Some people who unfortunately are unable to make next years festivities have had to cancel but that is good news for those who have not yet got their tickets as they will be on sale again at the start of 2010.

If you have been to other festivals and are going to Glastonbury this year you will feel that the others are nothing in comparison. Stages are all around the area meaning that no matter your tastes in entertainment you are bound to find something to occupy you throughout your stay. All the stages mean that even if the one you are near to is not what you are into you only need to take a stroll to one of the other events to get you into the mood.

The pyramid stage is the one that is the best known and where most people spend their time while at Glastonbury, this is because it stages the acts of the people who are best known, however the other areas have so much to offer too and you do not want to miss out on the attractions on the outskirts which many people do not find until later in the festival and are gutted that they only have a little time left to enjoy them.

Everyone who is at Glastonbury is there to have a good time, and many have met up with old friends and made new ones that they have continued to stay in contact with and share their experiences for years after.

Not everyone likes the idea of camping, but it is not a necessity. You will find a lot of different accommodation in the area which means you can come and go as you please yet make the most of anything from a B and B to the full catering hotels, who knows you may just spot a star or two.

Another option if you want something a bit more toned down and to suit every member of the family is to visit the cinema tent. There are viewings around the clock and the mornings are usually kept for family friendly films. Not only this, you will also be able to see the latest blockbusters in 3D which will keep everyone happy from the youngest, to the oldest fans.

Going to festivals is forever a great experience. If you do not know this, going to festivals in other countries is even more enjoyable, so you will want to make sure that you are at Glastonbury 2010, so check out the Glastonbury Lineup.
