If you’ve been learning guitar I’ve no doubt you have asked yourself at some stage about what are the easiest guitar songs.

Well, actually there are lots and lots of them.

Now what qualifies a song for inclusion under this list of easiest guitar songs? The answer in my book is pretty simple. To play the song it should require just one repeating strum pattern and 1 progression made up of no more than 4 chords. That’s an easy guitar song!

Luckily lots of these kinds of guitar songs have been written and many are big, well known hits too. The most valuable thing for beginners is that they provide a nice learning curve out of learning chords and into real songs.

Using a capo and some knowledge it’s normally always possible to convert the song into open chords and your tutor should be able to do this for you.
