I think eventually, everyone I know will be in a freakin’ band.

There are tons of new bands constantly popping up, but if a band is really good they will rise above the majority. The music industry is constantly saturated but rarely with all Great bands.

There already are great bands not getting deals while record companies keep putting out crap. So, no talent does mean success you need a break.

I personally believe that almost all of the new “bands” that are emerging today are not really the type of bands that used to enter the scene. The bands of today are raised on farms and built in Disney “talent factories,” starting with “talent searches” (i.e., the Mickey Mouse Club). It’s a frickin’ fashion show, and nothing more. These bands are to music what Twinkies are to baking. No good music will come out of it, because you get the same consistency and very few flavors in a factory like that.

You know what.. this a really good question man, however i don’t think the music industry gives two fu*ks about talent, and if they do.. well i’ll be damned, but anyways, i think as long as that ‘band’ is bringing in money, and appealing to teeny- im sorry, “THE CROWD” they’ll keep employing shi- bands, like the jonas brothers…

yay..
[not]
but ehh who knows, i think talented bands will have to get full time jobs soon enough, i mean if they wont change there music then its kind of a “well, touch luck kiddo” there 100 more crap bands on call.
well, thats what i think anyways.

I think we are almost there now. I find so many of the new bands nowadays are formulaic product, lacking in originality, inspriation and creativity. A record exec puts together some talentless kids and packages them as the greatest thing since sliced bread. I don’t believe that the kids today will ever hear or appreciate high caliber, quality music (like stuff from the 60′s, 70′s and 80′s)

New does not always equal bad, anymore than old means good. Its silly to think that.

I am glad there are a lot of new bands. The chances that some are actually good goes up exponentially.

The good ones will find away to get through and noticed. People still tend to dig them out at the clubs and smaller venues, They might not get the airplay the cookie cutter groups do but they will definatly get a fan base following them around

I could say that 91% of new bands today that emerge really ****… I don’t know, I don’t quite understand their courage to release bad music records, or maybe they just think of themselves as real rockers or just sacrificing their dignity for money.

Well, of talented bands today, of which many lives underground, it’s up to them if they want to sell-out and make “pretty average” music or much better case if they could manage to go into mainstream without changing their styles.

Well, with all the new indie bands popping up each year, we’re already overwhelmed with music. I just worry about the little known bands that are pushed under the landslide of other emerging artists.
